Size and fit

 

Q. Do your moccasins fit true to size?

Our Moccasins tend to come up a bit small – up to around half a size - but will soften with wear, and so for those who are normally a true whole size, we advise that you just opt for your regular size.

 

Q. I’m usually in-between sizes, what would you advise?

Our Moccasins tend to come up a bit small – around half a size – therefore for those who are usually in-between sizes, we would always advise sizing-up rather than sizing-down (e.g. if you’re usually a size 6.5, opt for a 7 in our Moccasins).

 

Q How do I know if my moccasins are the right fit?

When you try on the Moccasins, the fit should initially feel comfortable, but snug, with toes just touching the end of the slipper.

Toes should not be curled under, or feel uncomfortable in any way.

At first, the Moccasins (particularly the soles) will feel quite firm, however, within a few wears, the suede and sheepskin will soften and mould to your feet. 

 

Returns and exchanges

 

Q. Can I return my moccasins as they’re too big/small?

Yes, no problem, as long as it’s within the 14-day returns period, and they’re returned to us in the original packaging and in the same unworn condition in which you received them. Each order is delivered with a returns note which needs to be completed and returned with the order.

Unfortunately we can only accept returns or exchanges on items that are unused/ unworn – basically in the same condition in which they were received.

We do make this very clear on the returns information note you would have received with your order, and always advise customers to try on their Moccasins on a clean, carpeted surface etc.

 

Q. Can I return my moccasins even though it’s been longer than 14 days?

We can only refund or exchange items sent back to us within our 14-day returns period unfortunately. We do however extend our returns period on the run-up to Christmas but we ask that all Christmas returns are back with us by Monday 13th January.

 

Care

 

Q. How can I clean my Moccasins?

Although it’s tempting to never take them off, we do advise that our Moccasins should only ever be worn indoors, which will help to keep them clean.

They should never be machine-washed, so if they do get marked, just gently dab with a damp (not too wet) cloth.

The soles are suede and so can be gently brushed clean with a specialist suede brush. 

  

Ethics

 

Q. Where do you source your sheepskin etc. from?

We source our skins for our sheepskin moccasins from a reputable British sheepskin supplier who has the highest animal welfare standards and only uses by-products of the meat industry. And we also use sheepskins that are Rolls Royce car interior off-cuts. Not only does this guarantee the highest grade of soft sheepskin, but it’s also great to be putting waste from another industry to good use.

All of this means that our moccasins can be enjoyed all the more for knowing that they have been ethically sourced and produced.

 

Q. What do you do to make your business sustainable?

We’re an ethically-minded small business, and so go to great lengths to make our moccasin slippers as sustainable as possible. The traditional handmade methods used don’t involve any chemicals and only have a very low environmental impact.

We are also in the process of changing all of our packaging to recycled paper in an attempt to be plastic free.

Q. Where are my moccasins and why are they taking so long?

 We always endeavour to dispatch in-stock orders within 48 hours.

If you’ve pre-ordered an item, or if it’s a particularly busy time of year, this can take longer, and we will provide you with an update as soon as we can. We always appreciate your patience in these circumstances!
